Content

Content covers any marketing material that deals with the written word. This could be a blog, wording for a website, a brochure, a flyer, a white paper or an online or offline newsletter. It is important that your content dovetails with the design of what you are delivering, and we deal with that too (see below).

As well as delivering outstanding content and design, our goal is to be easy to deal with and professional in everything we do.

“Simon Manuel has been integral to the success of our content marketing strategy. Prior to working together with Simon, our efforts were sporadic and gleaned limited results. Simon changed all that. Advising on everything from the type of content we are creating to how we utilise that content Simon has added value at every level. Simon (and the team at Ink & Dots) is/are makes the whole process feel effortless. The effectiveness of Simon’s work has motivated us to create even more content. Working with Simon has been a very good decision for us.”

Brochures and Magazines

The Linen Draper customer magazine

The Linen Draper customer magazine

We have particular experience in producing brochures for the sale of residential property and work with a number of developers and property agents.

We also produce customer magazines. These have exploded in popularity over the past few years. Delivering interesting, relevant content for free to your audience is a fantastic way to promote your brand. These publications are increasingly popular with estate agents but they work for any organisation.

“Simon’s insight into the property world combined with his journalistic writing style has been invaluable. He is great to work with and I cannot recommend him highly enough.”

Training

Our latest training course is Article and Blog Writing for Solicitors. Most lawyers are now required to write articles either for their firm’s website or external publications.

Many lawyers struggle with this. They find it hard to come up with ideas for articles and even when they do, the words don't flow freely. They end up wasting valuable time. Worst of all, they don't have the writing skills required to make their articles interesting and relevant to their audience.

The course is designed as an in-house course for up to 10 delegates and lasts two and a half hours. It is suitable for lawyers at all stages of their career, and is especially useful for trainees and newly qualifieds. In it, delegates will learn:

On Article and Blog Writing for Lawyers training course:
”I thought the session yesterday was excellent. Simon is an engaging speaker and the amount of practical work, “chalk and talk” and Q&A was just right. He is good at stimulating ideas. All a bit daunting really as it means ironing out years of entrenched writing practices but he really makes you sit up and think. Well worth running and I’d recommend it for fee earners of all levels.”
— Ian Gatt QC, Partner, Stewarts

One of the things we hear most often when we work with new clients is that they don't know where to start.

There are so many channels in which to spread your message, how do you know which one is the right one? We run content strategy workshops that help you clarify what your brand represents, what message or story you want to project and how best to do it. This can include:

  • creating customer personas
  • developing content calendars
  • brainstorming content ideas.

The design of your marketing material needs to work hand in hand with the words of your message if it is going to achieve maximum impact in a crowded marketplace. It also has to be in harmony with your brand. Our graphic designers produce creative, original magazines, brochures, newsletters, flyers and more.
